Although I’ve lived in the US all my life and don’t look very Asian, I can speak the Taiwanese dialect of Chinese conversationally with very little accent. Here are some interesting things I’ve picked up about the Taiwanese language.

No More Top 10 Lists
A 2013 Buzzfeed study found that lists of 25, 15, 24, and 33 perform better than the common “Top 10” lists. Tailoring list length to time periods like 7, 12, 30, or 52 can inspire reader action. Lists that help plan days, weeks, or months provide more value to readers. Moving away from generic “Top 10s” and towards actionable lists of varying lengths can lead to increased engagement.
Dylan Coleman
Dylan Coleman, currently with the Houston Astros’ AAA affiliate, has had a dynamic professional career. Drafted by the Padres in 2018 after playing for Missouri State University, he was traded to the Royals in 2020. Coleman made his MLB debut in 2021, showing promise as a relief pitcher. After a strong 2022, he struggled in 2023. Traded to the Astros in December 2023, Coleman continues to demonstrate potential despite fluctuating performance in his young career.
