Even having a good work ethic is not enough to be successful. A problem many creative people have is that they have too many ideas. You can’t work on every idea that pops into your head. If you try, you will either get nothing done or do a terrible job at everything.
The human brain is terrible at multitasking. While we can do many mindless tasks at the same time, we can only think about one thing at a time. Line up your projects and do them one at a time. That is the most efficient way.
Act on it
Use the 80/20 Rule to find out what’s important. Cut your list of 100 things to do down to the top 20. Cut that down again to the top 4. Then pick your favorite project from those top 4 and get to work. Don’t look back until you finish.
