Derek Sivers has started a movement. Hundreds of people across the Internet are putting up pages showing what they’re doing right now. Now I’m joining the movement. This is my /now page.
What I’m Doing Now
I’m continuing working my day job in intellectual property law and I’m on track to retire early, hopefully by the time all my kids go to college (I’ll be 52 years old by then). When I’m not working the day job, I’m continuing to simplify my life by getting rid of clutter and streamlining processes.
I’m also continuing to work on my 10-Year Plan. This month, I’m catching up on all the project work I’ve missed doing while working hard at my day job.
What I’m Reading Now
I have a reading list with about 500 books on them. Realistically, I’m not going to read them all in my lifetime. My solution is that every time I want to read a new book, I grab 10 books from my reading list, pick the one I want to read now, and discard the rest. Here are the next two books I’m reading:
- The Bed of Procrustes, by Nassim Nicholas Taleb
- Big Ideas, Little Pictures, by Jono Hey
- Holly Lisle’s Create A World Clinic, by Holly Lisle
