I took a different approach in coming up with my key takeaways this time. Instead of choosing my favorite 12 quotes from the book as I usually do, I fed all of my notes into Claude 3 Opus AI, in twelve chunks of data, and asked it to summarize each chunk so that it’s roughly 10x smaller. Then I asked it to summarize each summary in five words, which is approximately another 10x smaller.
